Privacy

Time Ballot collects as little as possible and keeps it only as long as needed.

What we store

The ballot itself (title, description, date options), the organiser’s name and optional email address, and for each participant their name, optional email address, answers, language and time zone.

What we do not do

Taking part needs no account. There is no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party analytics, scripts, fonts or images. To see how the site is used, we keep only anonymous daily totals (for example visits, ballots created, the language of the page): no cookies, no IP addresses, and the short-lived key that counts each visitor once a day is deleted the next day. To stop abuse we keep short-lived counters under a one-way hash, deleted within two hours. Email addresses are never shown to other participants or to the organiser.

Cookies

Only cookies the site needs: your language and time zone choices, a security token for forms, a token that lets you change your own answers, and your session if you sign in. None are used for tracking.

How long we keep data

A ballot, with all its answers and email addresses, is deleted 180 days after it is closed. A ballot that is never closed is closed automatically 30 days after its last date option, then deleted on the same schedule. Organisers can delete a ballot at any time.

Email

We only send the emails you asked for: the organiser’s admin link, and the final date to people who left an address. Emails come from timeballot.com and are sent through our Swiss host.

Hosting

Time Ballot runs on Infomaniak servers in Switzerland. Like any web host, Infomaniak keeps technical access logs, including IP addresses, for a limited time under its own policy.

Who runs it

Time Ballot is a project by My Drop in the Oceans.
