Frequently asked questions
Short answers about Time Ballot, for organisers and participants.
Do participants need an account?
No. Participants open the link and enter a name. An email address is optional and only used to send them the final date.
Is Time Ballot free?
Yes. Creating ballots and answering them is free, and there is no advertising.
How are time zones handled?
You enter times in your own time zone. Every visitor sees them converted to theirs, including daylight saving changes, and can choose another time zone on the page.
Can participants change their answers?
Yes. After answering, each participant gets a personal link that lets them change their answers later, from any device.
Who can see the answers?
By default, everyone with the link sees the names and answers. The organiser can keep the answers private. Email addresses are never shown to anyone.
How do people learn the final time?
When the organiser picks the final time, everyone who left an email address receives it with a calendar file. It also appears on the ballot page.
How long is the data kept?
A ballot and all its answers and email addresses are deleted 180 days after it closes. Ballots that are never closed are closed automatically 30 days after their last option.
Where is Time Ballot hosted?
On Infomaniak servers in Switzerland. There is no tracking and there are no third-party scripts.
Can I change a ballot after creating it?
Yes. With your private admin link you can edit the title, description, place and deadline, add or remove options, and reopen a closed ballot.
I use the MyDIO scheduler. Can I use the same account?
Yes. Sign in with your MyDIO account to show your scheduler branding on ballots and to save the final time as a booking in your scheduler.
